Stephanie Tisseman
Costume Design And Construction

About Me:
My name is Stephanie Tisseman, a costume designer with a love for storytelling, detail, and historical fashion.
I’m currently studying costume design and have worked on a variety of make-believe projects, from stage productions like Mansfield Park and Suit Sleuth, to fantasy-inspired concepts based on A Court of Thorns and Roses.
My work often focuses on exploring character through silhouette, texture, and embellishment—whether it’s building a period-accurate millinery piece or creating something surreal and emotionally rich from paper or wool.
I have a particular interest in historical and fantasy-based costume, and I enjoy experimenting with traditional techniques like embroidery, weaving, and draping. I’m always inspired by the challenge of bringing characters to life through fabric and form—especially when I can use research to shape every creative choice.
