Suit Sleuth – Costume Design for Stage:

Second-Year University Project | 1970s Psychological Thriller

As part of my second-year studies, I designed costumes for four male characters in a stage production of Suit Sleuth, a psychological thriller set in the 1970s with a dark, mysterious tone.

I developed a muted, vintage-inspired palette and conducted in-depth research into 1970s menswear—focusing on tailoring, fabric textures, and period-specific cuts—to craft distinct silhouettes for each character. The goal was to balance historical accuracy with visual storytelling.

Designing for the stage taught me the importance of shape, contrast, and visibility under theatrical lighting. I emphasized bold outlines, layered textures, and character-driven accessories to ensure that each costume communicated clearly to the audience, even from a distance.
